KANE could have been spelled Kane, Caine, Kaine. Have not fould any records of of Zelma Cain in Iowa, during the dates that would be appropriate. A Zelma Lelana KANE was born in 1884 in Clay County, IN and is on the 1900 Census. The family is not on the 1910 census and may have moved to IA. The Father is listed only as F. K. and is probably Francis KANE. A Gedcom has a Francis Kane whoose father was a Leo Kane and my father was named Leo Patrick probably after a grandfather and father.
Patrick O'Shea said he was orphaned at abou t 8 years old, which would put his parents deaths about 1918. Other informatio n from Family states that Leo P. O'Shea said he went to Nevada with his father, which would indicate only Zelma passed away at that time. |
